We’re thrilled to announce our fourth annual Eat Drink Local week, an eight-day fest for our foodshed celebrated by Edibles around the tri-state area. The week kicks off June 22 and involves partners, from every part of our local food system, who urge you to dine out, cook in, and celebrate the ingredients, landscape and people behind our plates through a week’s worth of events, restaurant meals and plenty of cooking and drinking at home. What can you do to join in?



Be sure to make a reservation between June 22 and 29 to have an Eat Drink Local meal at our partner restaurants, which will be serving prix-fixe menus featuring the best ingredients the season has to offer. 1. June 26: Pass the Paella! at the Brooklyn Brewery. Enjoy a paella feast along with delicious side dishes prepared by Nick Suarez, Owner/Chef at the Backyard Cooking Company and Theo Peck, Owner of Peck’s. All you can eat, plus cans of Brooklyn Brewery beer. $40.

2. June 26: Eat, Drink BBQ at the Southwest Porch at Bryant Park.  We’re teaming up with ‘wichcraft for a backyard feast right in the heart of NYC.  There will be plenty of food (including a whole pig from Niman Ranch, greenmarket salads and fixings and ‘wichcraft’s award winning cream’wiches) both alcoholic (like LI wine and beer from the Brooklyn Brewery) and non-alcoholic drinks and music.  Subscribers receive 50% off of their tickets.


A portion of proceeds from Eat Drink Local week events and restaurant events will be donated to local charitable organizations, GrowNYC and City Harvest.

Thursday, June 27th: 5% Day to benefit the Battery Conservancy

Shop at any NYC location and 5% of net sales will go to benefit the Battery Conservancy.  The Battery Conservancy is a non-profit educational organization that works in partnership with NYC Parks and Recreation to rebuild and revitalize the historic Battery, the 25-acre public park at the tip of Manhattan.

WFM Bowery

Local Class in the Culinary Center featuring Just Food & Candle 79: Tuesday, June 25th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm

All proceeds from this class will benefit Just Food!
